Rapid Response & Outbreak Specialist II – STRIDES

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Rapid Response and Outbreak Specialist II to lead technical support for the STRIDES emergency response activities in Bangladesh. The specialist will work closely with the Technical Director and rapid‑response team to ensure that outbreak detection, investigation and containment actions are aligned with project workplans and donor expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and oversight for STRIDES rapid‑response and outbreak activities across Bangladesh and the region.
• Coordinate with STRIDES technical staff and rapid‑response team members to align emergency actions with approved workplans.
• Implement and monitor technical strengthening initiatives, including development of training strategies and delivery of capacity‑building sessions.
• Produce scientific and technical materials, such as guidelines, SOPs and briefing notes, to support outbreak response.
• Assist in preparing donor deliverable reports highlighting achievements under STRIDES Objective 4.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in public health emergency response, infectious disease surveillance or global health security.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and government partners.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
