Community Engagement and Data Identity Management Associate

About the role

The Community Engagement and Identity Management Associate supports beneficiary identity management and community engagement for the General Food Assistance programme, ensuring accurate verification, inclusion, and exclusion of beneficiaries while fostering transparent communication with affected communities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct beneficiary identification, inclusion, and exclusion exercises in line with approved eligibility criteria and WFP data.
• Maintain and regularly update beneficiary databases, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and alignment with WFP systems.
• Coordinate with Programme, MEAL, Protection, and Complaints & Feedback Mechanism teams to communicate processes and outcomes to communities.
• Identify and refer beneficiaries to relevant services, track referral outcomes, and document results.
• Prepare beneficiary master lists for emergency response and support rapid verification during crises.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, protection, and child protection policies, promoting gender mainstreaming and accountability.
• Participate in coordination meetings, field reviews, and programme planning; submit regular activity reports.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferably Social Science/Development Studies) or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least three years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of development or emergency projects, with knowledge of GFA programmes.
• Experience in database/beneficiary data management and working with refugee or crisis‑affected communities is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of beneficiary identification, inclusion, and exclusion processes.

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Proficiency with data management tools and beneficiary data systems.
