Compliance Manager – International Non‑Profit

About the role

Jhpiego is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead risk identification, internal‑control strengthening and fraud‑related communications for its Bangladesh and Nepal offices. Reporting to the Country Director, the role supports the organization’s mission to improve health outcomes while ensuring adherence to donor, host‑country and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Country Directors, Compliance and Finance leadership to design, implement and monitor robust internal‑control and risk‑management frameworks.
• Develop an annual compliance monitoring plan, including monthly/quarterly reviews, spot checks, field visits and audit activities.
• Monitor compliance with donor regulations, contractual obligations and applicable laws, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct risk assessments and support the creation and tracking of mitigation action plans.
• Oversee sub‑recipient monitoring, including compliance audits, monitoring visits and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Provide guidance, training and oversight in procurement, financial management and other operational areas as needed.
• Coordinate communications on fraud‑related issues and contribute to the annual risk‑assessment process.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in compliance, risk management or internal‑control functions, preferably in an international non‑profit environment.
