About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Deputy Manager – Business Development to drive market expansion, customer engagement and product development for our vegetable seeds business in Bangladesh. The role will focus on increasing sales, building dealer networks and supporting the launch of new seed varieties.
Key responsibilities
- Drive annual sales targets and increase market share across Bangladesh.
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers and growers.
- Expand retail and dealer networks to improve channel penetration.
- Plan and implement promotional campaigns to enhance customer loyalty.
- Conduct field trials, demonstrations and support commercialization of new seed varieties.
- Identify market opportunities, gather customer insights and collaborate on crop development.
- Train growers on advanced cultivation practices and product usage.
- Manage receivables, credit processes and monitor key financial and sales metrics.
- Support regulatory activities including product registration and seed licensing.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.
- 6–8 years of experience in sales, business development or marketing within the agriculture sector.
- Experience with multinational companies is preferred.
- Fluent in English and the local language.
- Strong commercial mindset, customer focus and relationship‑building abilities.
