Human Resources Officer – Professional (P)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration seeks a Human Resources Officer (Professional) to manage HR functions for its Country Office in Cox's Bazar, supporting staff administration, payroll, recruitment and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Human Resources Officer in reviewing and monitoring HR services in the Country Office.
• Supervise maintenance of personnel files and attendance records for international, national and sub‑contracted staff.
• Coordinate monthly payroll preparation for national staff and ensure accuracy.
• Manage staff entitlements such as danger pay, health insurance, educational grants and home leave.
• Oversee visa and residence permit renewal for international staff.
• Support recruitment processes, from vacancy posting to onboarding new staff.
• Facilitate performance management and staff development activities.
• Prepare administrative and special HR reports and contribute to audit follow‑up.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Sciences or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a university degree with four years of experience.
• High level of computer literacy and experience with HR information systems; experience preparing training modules and delivering training sessions is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an international organization and familiarity with UN common system are desirable.
