About the role

The Community Mobilizer will work directly with local communities in Gopalganj Sadar, Kashiani, Kotalipara, Muksudpur and Tungipara to promote inclusive education and rehabilitation services for persons with visual impairments. This position involves building trust, raising awareness, and encouraging participation in BERDO’s programs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage community members, local leaders, and stakeholders to support education initiatives.
• Organise and facilitate outreach events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Collect and report community feedback to improve program delivery.
• Coordinate with BERDO staff to ensure resources reach target beneficiaries.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Social Science (BSS/MSS) or Business Administration (BBA/MBA) or a related field.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and social development.
• Excellent communication skills in Bengali and basic English.
• Commitment to inclusive education and disability rights.
