Locally Led Anticipatory Action (LLAA) Coordinator

About the role

The Locally Led Anticipatory Action (LLAA) Coordinator will support Christian Aid’s Asia Multi‑Country Cluster in delivering a 24‑month programme in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Reporting to the Humanitarian Lead, the role focuses on strengthening locally led, decolonised humanitarian actions and building effective partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Invest continuously in personal and institutional technical capabilities on locally led anticipatory action.
• Develop learning and training materials for staff and partners in Bangladesh and Myanmar, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Provide operational support to a dynamic portfolio of partners using decolonised and localised approaches.
• Deliver training, mentoring and capacity‑building for MCC and partner staff, fostering trust‑based relationships.
• Collaborate in global discussions to advocate for locally led anticipatory action and share learnings.
• Ensure all activities align with Christian Aid’s decolonised partnership principles.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian coordination or programme management, preferably in South Asia.
• Strong understanding of locally led anticipatory action approaches and decolonised partnership models.
• Ability to work effectively with local, national and international stakeholders.
• Commitment to Christian Aid’s values of dignity, equality, justice and love.
• Willingness to work in Bangladesh (Dhaka) and travel to Myanmar as needed.
