Medical Officer – ICU, Emergency & Indoor (10 vacancies)

About the role

USB Specialized Hospital is hiring ten Medical Officers on a contract basis to work at its Uttara Sector 6 campus in Bangladesh. The roles cover ICU, Emergency and Indoor units, with each duty lasting a full 24‑hour shift from 7:30 am to 8:30 am the next day. Officers will be scheduled for two duties per week (approximately eight duties per month) and will receive a monthly salary that varies by department (ICU BDT 40,000, Emergency BDT 28,000, Indoor BDT 24,000).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver continuous patient care throughout the 24‑hour duty period.
• Rotate between ICU, Emergency and Indoor departments according to the duty roster.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation for each shift.
• Coordinate with nursing and support staff to uphold unit standards and safety protocols.
• Follow hospital policies and emergency protocols.
• Report any critical incidents to senior medical staff promptly.

Required profile

• MBBS degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
• At least three years of relevant medical experience.
• Preference for DA (Diploma in Anaesthesiology) for ICU, CCD (Certificate on Diabetology) for Emergency, and C‑Ultra (Certificate in Ultrasonogram) for Indoor positions.
• Female candidates are given preference for the Indoor Medical Officer role.
• Additional professional certificates or specialized training in related medical fields will be given added preference.

Required skills

• Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA).
• Certificate on Diabetology (CCD).
• Certificate in Ultrasonogram (C‑Ultra).
