National Program Officer – Site Management & Development

About the role

The National Program Officer will support the implementation of the Site Management and Site Development (SMSD) programme for IOM Bangladesh, providing technical assistance, coordinating partners and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Program Manager and coordinators to deliver SMSD projects on time, within budget and according to IOM policies.
• Lead the preparation of donor reports, workplans, budgets and evaluations, and monitor project indicators to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement, budget monitoring and asset management in Cox’s Bazar camps, ensuring compliance with financial and administrative procedures.
• Support partner selection, provide technical guidance, monitor performance and implement capacity‑building plans.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Development Studies, Disaster Risk Management, Public Administration or related field.
• At least three years of professional experience in humanitarian project development, implementation or management.
• Experience in site management, cash‑for‑work programmes and project management.
• Strong knowledge of the Cox’s Bazar context is an advantage.
