Assistant Professor – IT & Computing

About the role

A leading international private university in Bangladesh is seeking an experienced Assistant Professor to lead and support its IT and Computing academic programs. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, research, and industry engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the academic delivery of IT and Computing programs
• Deliver lectures, workshops, tutorials and assessments
• Support curriculum development and alignment with international university frameworks
• Lead and contribute to academic and program-level initiatives
• Engage in academic research, consultancy and professional practice
• Develop relationships with industry, employers and external organizations
• Collaborate with international academic partners and internal academic teams
• Contribute to assessment design and academic quality improvement
• Support academic administration and program-related activities

Required profile

• PhD in IT, Computing or a related field (mandatory)
• Relevant Master’s and/or Undergraduate degree
• 5–7 years of university‑level teaching experience, post‑PhD or combined
• Demonstrated academic and professional expertise in relevant IT/Computing disciplines
• Experience with academic administration, program leadership or academic committees
• Strong understanding of assessment design and international academic standards
• Research publications and conference presentations are an advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
