Communications Officer

About the role

World Vision Bangladesh is seeking a Communications Officer to strengthen visibility of its Rohingya Crisis Response. The role will translate field realities into compelling stories, visual content and advocacy materials for diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct field visits to capture photos, videos and stories that illustrate program impact.
• Create and manage digital, print and social media content, ensuring compliance with World Vision branding.
• Develop and maintain media relationships, organise press events and monitor coverage.
• Produce visual assets such as graphics, infographics, brochures, annual reports and video clips using Adobe Creative Cloud tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or Graphic Design (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum two years of professional experience in communications, media or visual storytelling, preferably in the non‑profit or humanitarian sector.
• Proficiency in English and Bengali; knowledge of Rohingya or local dialects is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time for field assignments.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Canva for quick graphic creation.
• DSLR camera operation and basic lighting.
• Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
• Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Acrobat) and MS Teams.
