About the role

Somahar is seeking a Data/Market Analyst to join its team anywhere in Bangladesh. This full‑time position requires 3‑6 years of experience and will drive product strategy through data‑driven market research. The role has a direct impact on the company’s growth and sourcing decisions while working with modern research and analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative data analysis and market research to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for product strategy and sourcing.
• Prepare clear reports and visualisations for cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Utilise contemporary research and analytics tools to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and procurement teams to align insights with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Accounting & Information Systems, or a BBA in Marine Engineering, Marketing, Economics, Applied Statistics.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in data analysis or market research.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to non‑technical audiences.
