HR Officer (Internal) – Cox's Bazar

About the role

The HR Officer (Internal) will support NRC Bangladesh’s operations in Cox’s Bazar by delivering a range of human‑resources and administrative services. The role requires a service‑oriented approach, sound judgement and strong organisational skills while handling confidential information with professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment of contingent workers at national and camp level, maintain recruitment trackers and archives.
• Maintain HR databases, personnel files, physical archiving and employment records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support payroll processes by collecting, reviewing and verifying staff salary, allowance and deduction data.
• Oversee leave management systems, track attendance and maintain leave records.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards and analyses to aid management decision‑making.
• Assist in developing, updating and implementing HR policies, procedures and manuals.
• Provide administrative support for performance management, work development plans and related documentation.
• Coordinate learning and development activities, including training arrangements and feedback collection.
• Support day‑to‑day administration of NRC offices, guesthouses and facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
• Supervise office and accommodation arrangements, lease agreements, travel bookings and related administrative tasks.
• Manage office supplies, reception services and oversee cleaning, maintenance and outsourced service providers.
• Assist with procurement of office equipment and supplies and organise meetings, workshops and events.
