OT Nurse – Full-Time Position

About the role

The Voluntary Association for Rural Development (VARD) is seeking two qualified Operating Theatre (OT) Nurses to join its healthcare team in Sylhet. This full‑time role involves providing professional nursing care within the surgical environment, ensuring patient safety and supporting surgical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during operations by preparing and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies in the operating theatre.
• Manage surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilisation and functionality.
• Document nursing care accurately and maintain patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing (minimum 4‑year program) from a GOB‑recognized institution.
• Valid BNMC registration.
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferably in an operating theatre setting.
• Strong knowledge of infection control and surgical procedures.
