Senior Officer – Education (SCOPE)

About the role

Save the Children is seeking a Senior Officer – Education (SCOPE) to ensure that children of RMG workers in Dhaka and Savar receive quality, inclusive protection and education services. The role involves planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting on project activities in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of education activities according to the Detailed Implementation Plan.
• Build capacity of partner staff, secondary school teachers on STEM education, and daycare teachers and caregivers.
• Develop and use low‑cost, age‑appropriate Teaching‑Learning Materials (TLMs) for ECCD centres.
• Provide training, technical support and ongoing mentorship to daycare teachers and caregivers.
• Monitor children’s growth by tracking height and weight following government guidelines.
• Facilitate STEM education and remedial interventions for secondary‑school‑aged children.
• Strengthen life‑skills programmes and assess developmental progress using CREDI and IDELA tools.
• Conduct studies and assessments, manage procurement of project materials, support day‑to‑day operations and prepare timely reports.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in ECCD and primary/secondary education.
• At least two years of demonstrated experience in ECCD training facilitation and development of age‑appropriate TLMs.
• Strong knowledge of learning toys, learning aids and how children learn.
• Excellent networking and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with local government, DSHE and district education offices.
