Senior Officer-Education (SCOPE)

About the role

The Senior Officer‑Education (SCOPE) will ensure that children of RMG workers in Dhaka and Savar receive quality, inclusive protection and education services. The role oversees planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project activities in line with donor requirements and the Detailed Implementation Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor and report on project activities according to donor guidelines and the DIP.
• Collaborate closely with the Child Protection team to achieve project goals.
• Build capacity of partner staff, secondary‑school teachers on STEM education, and daycare teachers and caregivers.
• Design and facilitate trainings, meetings and workshops.
• Ensure quality of ECCD activities in daycare centres, develop low‑cost, age‑appropriate teaching‑learning materials.
• Provide ongoing technical support and training to daycare teachers and caregivers.
• Monitor children’s growth (height and weight) following government guidelines.
• Facilitate STEM education for secondary‑school‑aged children and support remedial education interventions.
• Strengthen life‑skills learning, assess developmental progress using CREDI and IDELA tools, and support competency assessments.
• Assist in conducting studies and assessments, ensure timely procurement of project materials, and support day‑to‑day operations.
• Prepare timely, need‑based reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in ECCD and primary/secondary education.
• At least two years of demonstrated experience in ECCD training facilitation and development of age‑appropriate teaching‑learning materials.
• Detailed knowledge of learning toys, learning aids and how children learn.
• Strong networking and stakeholder‑engagement capacity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with local government, DSHE and district/sub‑district education offices.
