Technical Specialist – Child Protection

About the role

Save the Children is seeking a Technical Specialist in Child Protection to lead and support case‑management activities within the Rohingya response. The role provides technical leadership, ensures quality service delivery, and strengthens referral pathways for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in case management, assessment, response analysis, and design of child protection interventions.
• Strengthen case‑management systems, referral pathways, and service delivery, ensuring timely response to child protection risks.
• Oversee documentation of activities, lessons learned, and best practices, including management of the Child Protection Information Management System.
• Supervise project officers to ensure effective operation of child protection facilities and quality case‑management services.
• Support children associated with armed groups, unaccompanied or separated children, and survivors of violence, abuse, and exploitation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a management or supervisory position.
• Master’s or postgraduate degree in a relevant field, preferably Social Science.
• Strong knowledge of UNCRC, child‑rights programming, and human‑rights analysis at global, national and local levels.
• Experience with project cycle management, program planning, budgeting and monitoring & evaluation.
• Proven conflict‑management, problem‑solving and people‑management skills.
