Associate Officer - Community Center

About the role

ActionAid Bangladesh is seeking an Associate Officer for its Community Center in Teknaf, Ukhia. The role supports community‑based activities and the Rohingya response, contributing to disaster management and environmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing community‑center programs for displaced populations.
• Support coordination with local authorities, NGOs and partners on Rohingya response activities.
• Collect and maintain data, prepare reports and documentation related to program activities.
• Facilitate community outreach, awareness‑raising sessions and capacity‑building workshops.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes.

Required profile

• University degree in Social Science, Disaster Management, Environmental Science or related field; a diploma in civil engineering is also acceptable.
• At least one year of relevant experience, preferably in Rohingya response or disaster‑management contexts.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
