Garment Technician – Technical Development

About the role

The Garment Technician will manage product development sample requirements and ensure technical quality throughout the order progression. You will work closely with Kiabi France technical teams and local vendors to improve sewing, construction, fitting and grading.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical files, communicate requirements to factories, and record accurate measurements of all samples.
• Provide technician comments on DOC4 Excel files for both Counfit and collection samples within set timelines.
• Support pre‑production control for PMA and key styles by checking fit and workmanship.
• Seal collection samples, sign final measurement charts, and input approval/rejection data into the IT system.
• Maintain continuous communication between Kiabi, production engineers, and suppliers to ensure adherence to Kiabi norms.

Required profile

• Diploma in Textile or Clothing.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a buying‑office environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment sewing, construction, fitting and grading.

Required skills

• Excel for documenting technical comments and sample data.
• Effective communication in English.
