Garment Technician – Technical Development

About the role

The Garment Technician will manage product development sample requirements and ensure technical quality throughout the order progression. Working closely with Kiabi France technical teams, vendors and factories, the role focuses on improving sewing, construction, fitting and grading of garments.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical files and communicate requirements to vendors/factories.
• Measure, fit and record sample dimensions, noting any deviations.
• Provide technician comments on DOC4 Excel files for counterfit and collection samples within set timelines.
• Support pre‑production control for key styles, checking fit and workmanship.
• Seal collection samples, sign final measurement charts and input approval/rejection data into the IT system.
• Maintain continuous communication between Kiabi, production engineers and suppliers to ensure adherence to Kiabi norms.

Required profile

• Diploma in Textile/Clothing.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a buying office environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of garment sewing, construction, fitting and grading.
