GEDSI Specialist – Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion

About the role

The Specialist will lead the integration of Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) across the GESMIN project in Jamalpur. You will ensure that women, men, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups benefit equitably from inclusive development interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the GEDSI Action Plan at district level, coordinating with project teams and partners.
• Adapt MenCare/Male Engagement approaches to challenge harmful gender norms.
• Integrate Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) strategy results into project design.
• Design and deliver GEDSI‑focused training and gender‑responsive market approaches for staff, partners and stakeholders.
• Develop and document GEDSI good practices, IEC/BCC materials, and success stories.
• Strengthen linkages with NGOs, INGOs, government departments and local partners.
• Support safeguarding, protection and inclusive programming standards in line with World Vision and DFAT guidelines.
• Monitor implementation by collecting gender, sex and disability‑disaggregated data and reporting findings.
• Regularly communicate with World Vision Australia for GEDSI guidance and report to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience integrating GEDSI principles in development projects.
• Strong understanding of gender‑transformative programming, disability inclusion and social norm change.
• Ability to lead capacity‑strengthening activities and produce high‑quality reports.
• Excellent collaboration skills with diverse partners and stakeholders.
