Manager / Assistant Manager - Finishing

About the role

Levi's is hiring a Manager / Assistant Manager for its Finishing function in Dhaka. The role oversees and manages finish developments and bulk production for all Levi's & Co. accounts, ensuring quality standards, timely project execution and continuous improvement in finish processes. It works closely with vendors, cross-functional teams and decision-makers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive finish briefs from the design team, review fabric test reports and evaluate vendor capabilities against seasonal needs
• Track development timelines with Product Development and approve finish trials within one to two rounds
• Run internal testing before trials to check RSL and compliance, and propose backup options
• Promote seasonal waterless finishes and validate formulas during initial trials
• Educate vendors on Finish Technical Loom (FTL) submissions and monitor their timely approval
• Work with Supply Management on bulk planning and ensure Bulk Goods Production Tests (GPT) clearances are met before shipment
• Follow up on Finished Look Approval (FLA), duplicates, lab tests and customer service samples, and run weekly progress reviews
• Conduct risk assessments before and after critical stages and update the PLM system with seasonal information
• Review monthly vendor performance reports on delivery, testing and defects, and drive corrective actions

Required profile

• B.Tech in Textile Engineering or Diploma in Textile Processing/Chemistry
• Minimum 8 years of experience in denim, non-denim washing, garment dyeing and special finishes
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks with a sense of urgency
• Ability to adopt a digital mindset and manage tight, time-bound projects

Required skills

• Garment dyeing and special finishes experience is an added advantage
• Technical expertise and hands-on experience
• Strong communication skills and understanding of product development
• Understanding of denim and non-denim fabrics and finishes
