Senior Officer, Global Product Development

About the role

Avery Dennison, a global materials science and digital identification solutions company, is hiring a Senior Officer for its Global Product Development function in Dhaka. The role covers the launch of programs and Retail Brand initiatives, product development, sample management and technical support for manufacturing, and can include leading key Retail Brand programs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth launch of programs and Retail Brand (RB) initiatives for local supply.
• Identify feasible, cost-effective product development methods and deliver timely estimates based on production capability.
• Accelerate development using the ELS approach and drive product re-engineering.
• Authorize counter sample approvals and guarantee timely samples, proofs, formats, data integrity tests and ink drawdowns for manufacturing.
• Develop retailer manuals, sample packs and catalogs, and share regular product updates internally.
• Solve critical issues and act as a technical resource for cross-functional teams.
• Train or assist Customer Service, Sales, Operations teams and vendors on quality and service standards.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards for sample storage and documents.
• Manage complex Retail Brand programs (e.g., MLA and high-volume programs) independently, and act as a buddy to sub-group members.
• Propose solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, contribute to departmental projects and lead internal improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering or another engineering discipline.
• Minimum four years of experience.
• Working knowledge of the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry and of Avery Dennison.
• Strong written and verbal communication, PR abilities, analytical skills and the ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines.
