People and Culture Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated People and Culture Intern to support our Human Resources functions within Movement in Refuge (MiR). The internship will give you hands‑on experience in HR processes while contributing to the wellbeing of staff and community‑based coaches working in refugee camps.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, screening applications and coordinating interviews for coaching and support staff.
• Support onboarding and orientation of new hires, ensuring all documentation is completed and stored securely.
• Maintain and update employee records, attendance logs and training registers.
• Help organize staff development workshops and wellbeing initiatives.
• Contribute to the preparation of HR reports and data analysis for internal monitoring.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
• Strong interest in humanitarian work and experience living or volunteering in multicultural environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in challenging settings.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
• Familiarity with data entry and record‑keeping practices.
