Principal / Senior Android Engineer

About the role

Ding is looking for a seasoned Android engineer to design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality Android applications that deliver an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with product managers, designers and backend engineers to build scalable solutions for a global money‑transfer platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java, following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements, specifications and deliverables.
• Participate in architectural and design discussions, providing insights and recommendations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with proper documentation.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging, addressing issues promptly.
• Optimize application performance across a wide range of Android devices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and web services with backend engineers.
• Work with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive, visually appealing interfaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of Android development experience, including 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong portfolio of Android applications demonstrating end‑to‑end ownership.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
