Principal / Senior .NET Engineer

About the role

As a .NET Engineer at Ding you will design, develop, test and maintain high-quality .NET applications that power our cross-border value-transfer platform. You will work closely with product managers and front-end engineers to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build web-scale applications using modern .NET (4.8.NET 8) and tooling such as VS2022, Resharper or Rider.
• Develop and maintain APIs with C# and ASP.NET Core Web API, backed by SQL Server.
• Work with open-source technologies including Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MongoDB, nHibernate and Lamar/StructureMap.
• Participate in the adoption of native AWS services and containerise micro-services with Docker.
• Slice monoliths into micro-services, follow Kanban processes and take features from concept to production.
• Contribute to code quality through testing, refactoring and best-practice discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial backend development experience.
• Strong focus on clean, well-designed code and automated testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Agile, CI, TDD and SOLID principles.
• Knowledge of micro-services architecture, cloud platforms and containerisation.
