Project Analyst (Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning)

About the role

The Project Analyst will lead Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities for UNDP Bangladesh’s Social Security Policy Support Phase II, ensuring robust data collection, analysis, and evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and periodically review the Project MEL Plan, results framework, indicators, monitoring tools and reporting templates.
• Coordinate monitoring of programme outputs, outcomes and milestones, ensuring timely collection, verification, analysis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data.
• Prepare Results‑Oriented Annual Reports, donor reports and other corporate reporting requirements.
• Lead project evaluations, reviews and assessments and follow‑up on management responses and recommendations.
• Produce analytical reports, lessons learned, case studies and outcome stories to support adaptive programme management.

Required skills

• Expertise in MEL planning, results‑framework design and indicator development.
• Strong data‑quality assessment and monitoring‑database management skills.
• Experience with digital MEL systems, dashboards and integration with MIS platforms.
• Ability to provide technical guidance on digital monitoring tools and evidence‑based decision‑making.
