About the role
Akij Venture Ltd. seeks a Senior Executive to lead fire and safety initiatives across its factory premises in Habiganj. The role ensures a safe working environment by implementing fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and occupational safety systems in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fire prevention and emergency response plans.
- Monitor compliance with occupational safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
- Coordinate training on fire safety, first aid, and emergency response for staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Disaster Management or a related field.
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in fire safety or occupational health.
Required skills
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
- First Aid, Emergency Response, Risk Assessment training.
- Six‑month Fire Safety Manager Course from Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence (BFSD).
