Senior Project Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead database management for its ERICC research programme in Bangladesh. This role will design, maintain and secure a high‑quality research database, supporting large‑scale quantitative and qualitative data collection across multiple waves.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage and maintain a secure, high‑quality database for in‑country research.
• Support high volumes of quantitative and qualitative data collection, ensuring data are systematically stored, cleaned, validated and accessible for analysis.
• Develop tools, training materials and operational procedures for data collection, cleaning, analysis and report writing.
• Collaborate closely with the Research Specialist, Education Coordinator, Regional Research Director (Bangladesh & Myanmar) and Regional Education Technical Advisor (Asia).
• Report directly to the Research Specialist and contribute to the overall research data strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in database management for research projects.
• Ability to handle large datasets and ensure data quality and security.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary research and education teams.
