Vaccinator – Immunization Specialist

About the role

The Vaccinator will lead immunisation activities at the Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) and in outreach settings, ensuring high‑quality Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) services for the local population. Working under the Clinical Supervisor, the role supports IRC’s health programmes in Camp 6 and contributes to broader humanitarian health objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the cold chain, including transport, storage, and display of vaccines, in line with WHO/MoH standards.
• Administer vaccines according to the Ministry of Health vaccination calendar and support joint campaigns with MoH/WHO.
• Monitor fridge temperatures twice daily, maintain equipment, and produce timely daily/weekly reports.
• Prepare requisitions for vaccines and supplements, ensuring continuous supply.
• Promote team engagement, inclusion, and adherence to IRC safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar vaccinator role.
• Recognised EPI vaccinator by the Ministry of Health.
• Experience supervising or mentoring health staff and managing health facilities.
• Ability to work effectively in culturally diverse and challenging environments.
