Associate Manager, Maintenance

About the role

Avery Dennison is hiring an Associate Manager, Maintenance in Dhaka. The role supervises maintenance and engineering technical staff, oversees plant and facility operations, manages the yearly maintenance budget and leads project management initiatives while upholding safety and health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance engineering and technical staff and monitor troubleshooting and maintenance schedules.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify areas for equipment and facility improvement, assign teams and delegate tasks to meet department schedules.
• Ensure cross-training of maintenance personnel so they can cover all operational areas and handle emergency calls.
• Plan and coordinate installations of machinery, equipment, electricity, refurbishments and office space allocation.
• Manage equipment and supplies upkeep in line with health and safety standards.
• Inspect building structures for repairs or renovations and monitor utility consumption to cut costs.
• Supervise facilities staff and external contractors and oversee QA/QC for site projects.
• Take part in project management: initial survey, design, cost estimates and construction.
• Monitor site safety according to Avery Dennison and FM Global standards, coordinate with project consultants and keep legal project records.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant maintenance or engineering field.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound understanding of production processes and facility operations.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and achieve target-oriented goals.
