Factory Manager - Knit Fabric Dyeing & Finishing

About the role

A globally recognized, vertically integrated textile and apparel manufacturer is looking for an experienced Factory Manager for its knit fabric dyeing and finishing unit in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The role leads large-scale textile processing operations, driving production efficiency, dyeing consistency, quality standards and on-time output. It calls for strong technical expertise in synthetic knit dyeing and experience managing large teams in export-oriented textile settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of knit fabric dyeing and finishing units
• Manage high-temperature dyeing processes for polyester and nylon fabrics
• Ensure color consistency, shade reproducibility and process stability
• Oversee finishing processes such as heat-setting, stabilization and functional finishes
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency and cost
• Ensure on-time delivery to internal garment units and external customers
• Maintain quality control systems for technical fabrics and work with laboratory teams on dye recipes and process standardization
• Develop and mentor technical and operational teams
• Maintain safety, compliance and environmental standards
• Work with knitting, R&D, engineering and garment teams, support new product development and coordinate engineering for machine uptime and preventive maintenance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry or a related field
• Minimum 7+ years managing knit dyeing operations in large textile mills
• Proven experience managing large operational teams in export-driven manufacturing
• Preferred: experience with global sportswear or outdoor brands, exposure to vertically integrated manufacturing, and knowledge of sustainability and environmental compliance in dyeing
