Finance & Accounts Specialist

About the role

Save the Children is seeking a Finance & Accounts Specialist to support the EARN Project. The role ensures efficient, transparent financial management and compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements, and government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial planning, budgeting, and accounting support for the EARN Project.
• Monitor budgets, produce financial reports, and maintain strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with Project, Operations, Supply Chain, Partnership and Finance teams to ensure timely financial information.
• Support financial due diligence and monitoring of implementing partners where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with Save the Children policies and donor regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in an INGO or donor‑funded environment.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computerized accounting packages.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
