Laboratory and Diagnostics Specialist II

About the role

The Laboratory and Diagnostics Specialist II provides technical guidance and day‑to‑day implementation support for the STRIDES Activity’s laboratory and diagnostic strategy in Bangladesh. Working closely with the Laboratory and Diagnostic Advisor and STRIDES teams, the specialist helps design work plans, ensure quality assurance, and monitor strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily technical implementation support for laboratory and diagnostic strengthening activities.
• Guide the development of work‑plan requirements and quality‑assurance processes.
• Implement and monitor strategic and technical initiatives aligned with STRIDES objectives.
• Develop and manage reports, technical materials, and assessment documents.
• Evaluate programmatic effectiveness and oversee technical aspects of laboratory activities.
• Collaborate with in‑country staff and headquarters teams to ensure alignment with overall program goals.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in laboratory and diagnostic program support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating program effectiveness.
• Excellent written communication for report and technical material preparation.
