Lead Support Engineer – Telecom Charging Systems

About the role

Qvantel, through Optiva, is looking for a Lead Support Engineer in Bangladesh to maintain, optimize and troubleshoot critical telecom systems while ensuring high service efficiency. The role suits a skilled and experienced Telecom BSS Engineer with expertise in Ericsson Charging Systems, USSD gateways and voucher platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Ericsson Charging, E-voucher and USSD Gateway as Level 2 MS support.
• Troubleshoot using tcpdump, log analysis and knowledge of TCP, Diameter, CAPv2, HTML-based protocols and IP networking.
• Solve SLA-bound issues (CDR, rating, subscriptions) and RAFM issues.
• Prepare scripts and automate routine tasks with Bash, Ansible and Python.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and manage ITSM processes (Incident, Problem and Change Management).
• Manage all CS-related activities and regular operations, meeting SLAs and KPIs.
• Own end-to-end incident and problem management, SOX control delivery, performance reporting and 3rd party vendor management.
• Support ongoing projects as an experienced CS expert.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science and Engineering (government-recognized).
• 5 to 10 years of experience in telecom charging systems.

Required skills

• RHCE, VMware and OpenStack certifications and hands-on experience.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Diameter, CAMEL and 2G/3G/4G architecture.
• Experience with MySQL, Oracle, Linux scripting and VNF platforms.
