Senior Environmental Expert

About the role

Join Surbana Jurong’s multidisciplinary team in Dhaka to lead environmental assessments for major infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with Bangladesh’s Department of Environment, World Bank standards, and project‑specific requirements while supporting the financial success of construction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct environmental surveys, site investigations, and baseline data collection for project components.
• Collect and analyse samples for air, water, soil, noise, ecology, land use and other parameters.
• Prepare comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports in line with regulatory and donor requirements.
• Coordinate with field teams, laboratories, local stakeholders and technical experts to guarantee reliable data collection and documentation.

Required profile

• Graduation in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or an equivalent degree.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years in the railway sector.
• At least 5 years in a similar consultancy position.
• Experience on internationally funded donor projects is preferred.
