Senior Movement Operations Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior Movement Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of the Assisted Passage Program (APP) in Bangladesh. Based in Cox's Bazar, you will ensure that movement, supply‑chain, safety, security, IT and administrative services operate smoothly, comply with regulations and meet program objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions of the APP, including movement coordination, logistics, safety & security, IT support and administrative services.
• Translate strategic guidance into detailed implementation plans and monitor execution across multiple field locations.
• Supervise and mentor operational staff, ensuring clear roles, performance standards and capacity building.
• Maintain compliance with IRC policies, donor requirements and local regulations.
• Collaborate with program teams, partners and government authorities to resolve operational challenges.
• Prepare regular operational reports, dashboards and performance metrics for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in humanitarian logistics, movement operations or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams in complex emergency settings.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain, safety & security protocols and IT systems used in humanitarian programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt plans to rapidly changing contexts.
