About the role
The Senior Officer – Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) leads the design and delivery of high‑quality cash transfers, cash‑for‑work and voucher programmes for disaster‑affected and vulnerable populations in Cox’s Bazar and Southern Bangladesh. Based in the Ukhiya Field Office and reporting to the Manager – Livelihoods, the role combines field‑level leadership with technical expertise in cash‑based programming.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and monitor cash transfers, cash‑for‑work and voucher initiatives, ensuring compliance with IRC policies and donor requirements.
- Conduct client selection, needs assessments and market analyses to shape programme design.
- Oversee distribution processes and post‑distribution monitoring to verify impact and address issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, financial service providers and private‑sector partners.
- Coordinate with implementing partners and contribute to integrated livelihoods programming.
Required profile
- Significant experience in cash‑based programming and livelihoods within humanitarian contexts.
- Proven ability to lead field teams and manage complex programme logistics.
- Strong understanding of donor compliance, monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
