Software Engineer - AI (Maira-2)

About the role

Gigalogy builds an AI platform that integrates turnkey AI solutions into applications, and is looking for a Software Engineer - AI to join its Dhaka team. You will help build and advance Maira-2, the company's flagship model aimed at high accuracy at lower cost, working closely with the CEO and the core technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the CEO on the development and improvement of Maira-2
• Evaluate and apply generative AI models across use cases, and run benchmarks comparing quality, latency, cost and reliability
• Design and run fine-tuning workflows and experimentation frameworks for prompts, architectures, datasets and inference strategies
• Optimize models and pipelines for accuracy, efficiency and lower operational cost
• Analyze model outputs and collaborate with product, engineering and leadership teams
• Support deployment of models into production with performance and monitoring in mind

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related field
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on AI and machine learning work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently drive experiments from concept to conclusion
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills

Required skills

• Generative AI: LLMs, transformers, embeddings, prompting, retrieval and fine-tuning
• Hands-on experience with foundation models such as OpenAI or open-source LLMs
• Python and modern ML/AI frameworks
• Preferred: PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex, vector databases, RAG systems, GPU workflows and cloud infrastructure
