Technical Officer – WASH

About the role

The Technical Officer – WASH will provide technical expertise for water, sanitation and hygiene programmes in Ukhia, Bangladesh, under a contract arrangement with ActionAid Bangladesh.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support for WASH interventions.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of water, sanitation and hygiene activities.
• Ensure that all activities comply with relevant standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with partners, local authorities and community groups.
• Collect data, monitor progress and prepare regular reports.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in civil engineering, environment, public health, URP or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience working in WASH programmes.
• Ability to work in field settings and adapt to challenging environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of WASH principles and standards.
• Water quality testing.
• Sanitation infrastructure design.
• Data collection and reporting.
