Visual Storyteller Intern (Video Editor)

About the role

Movement in Refuge is seeking a Visual Storyteller Intern to support the creation of video content that highlights the impact of sport‑based programmes for refugees. The intern will work closely with the communications team to produce compelling stories that raise awareness and advocate for safe, structured movement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, shooting, and editing short videos that showcase training sessions, community coaches, and participant experiences.
• Collaborate with field staff to gather footage and interview material from refugee camps.
• Edit raw footage into polished videos suitable for social media, website, and donor presentations.
• Maintain an organized archive of video assets and metadata.
• Support the creation of visual assets such as graphics or subtitles when needed.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recent graduate of a media, communications, or related program.
• Strong interest in humanitarian work and advocacy through storytelling.
• Ability to work in challenging environments and respect cultural sensitivities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Required skills

• Basic video editing proficiency (e.g., familiarity with editing software).
• Understanding of storytelling principles for short‑form video.
