Factory Manager - Woven Fabric Dyeing & Finishing

About the role

A client of N Human Resources & Management Systems, a large vertically integrated manufacturer of technical textiles, apparel, footwear and outdoor products, is hiring a Factory Manager for its wet-processing unit in Chittagong. The unit specialises in synthetic woven fabrics such as polyester and nylon (taffeta, ripstop, oxford). The role covers end-to-end dyeing and finishing operations, including production efficiency, quality and on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall dyeing and finishing operations for synthetic woven fabrics
• Manage high-temperature dyeing processes, keeping shade, quality and output consistent
• Oversee dye recipe formulation, colour management and process optimisation
• Drive finishing operations to meet technical, functional and aesthetic fabric requirements
• Improve efficiency through process optimisation and performance tracking
• Maintain high first-quality (A-grade) production yield
• Ensure safety, compliance and environmental standards
• Build and lead teams with a culture of discipline and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with weaving teams, fabric R&D, garment manufacturing units and global brand technical stakeholders
• Support new fabric development and scale-up of performance materials

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in textile manufacturing
• Minimum 7-10 years of leadership experience in dyeing and finishing
• Strong expertise in synthetic woven fabrics (polyester and nylon)
• Experience in large, export-oriented textile manufacturing environments
• Proven track record managing large production teams
• Preferred: experience with technical/performance fabrics for sportswear or outdoor brands, exposure to vertically integrated setups, familiarity with sustainability and environmental compliance, fluency in English (Bangla an advantage)
