Officer – Provident Fund

About the role

The Officer – Provident Fund will manage the accounting and reporting of Save the Children’s staff Provident Fund. This role ensures accurate recording of all PF transactions, maintains supporting documentation, and works closely with the PF trustee board and treasurers to meet statutory and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Record all PF transactions in the designated accounting software in line with policies and procedures.
• Maintain complete and approved documentation for each transaction.
• Support PF treasurers in preparing for annual statutory finance audits and tax return submissions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including trustee board members, to ensure compliance and transparency.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for PF activities and respond to member inquiries.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in finance or accounts within an INGO, multinational or reputable organization.
• Proven experience maintaining detailed accounting records and handling sensitive financial data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting concepts to non‑technical staff.
• Ability to build effective relationships with staff, trustees and external partners.
• Master’s degree in accounting; professional accounting qualification or part‑qualification is an advantage.
