Contracts Manager – Large‑Scale Port Infrastructure Project

About the role

The Contracts Manager will lead contractual and commercial management for the Laldia Container Terminal (LCT) greenfield project in Chattogram, Bangladesh. Reporting to the Project Director, you will ensure contracts are administered from award through construction, commissioning and hand‑over, supporting safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer consultancy, construction, equipment and technology contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including variations, claims and dispute resolution.
• Monitor compliance with the Concession Agreement, manage contractual communications with the Chittagong Port Authority and Independent Engineer, and support governance forums.
• Identify commercial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead claim management, extensions of time and dispute avoidance.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, legal and compliance teams to provide commercial guidance and improve contract management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience managing contracts on major construction, infrastructure or capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of international construction contracts, especially the FIDIC suite.
• Proven experience in contract administration, variations, claims handling and commercial risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; working knowledge of Bengali is a plus.
