Project Engineering Lead

About the role

Lead the delivery of the Laldia Container Terminal greenfield project in Bangladesh, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring design excellence from concept to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all project design phases, producing Issued-for-Construction packages.
• Manage consultants, contractors, suppliers and engineering stakeholders to meet schedule and compliance.
• Ensure designs comply with APM Terminals standards, regulatory requirements and international engineering codes.
• Support procurement, prepare tender documents and evaluate technical bids.
• Oversee design interfaces, risk management, quality assurance and change control.
• Coordinate with construction, permitting and operations teams for constructability and execution readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of infrastructure design experience, preferably in container terminals, quay walls or breakwaters.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and consultant teams.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, international design standards and engineering best practices.
• Experience translating operational requirements into practical engineering solutions.
