Railway Signalling & Telecommunication Expert

About the role

We are seeking a Railway Signalling & Telecommunication Expert to join our multidisciplinary team in Dhaka. The successful candidate will lead the design and documentation of signalling, telecommunication, passenger information and CCTV systems across all project components, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design signalling, telecommunication, passenger information and CCTV systems in line with project requirements and operational needs.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) items, quantity estimates and rate analyses for signal and telecom works.
• Coordinate with the Employer to confirm design criteria and resolve technical issues before finalisation.
• Review site conditions, interface requirements and system integration needs to deliver coordinated design outputs.
• Liaise with civil, electrical, track, station and operational disciplines to ensure design alignment.

Required profile

• Graduation in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in railway signalling and 8 years in feasibility study and design consultancy.
• Experience as a Railway Rolling Stock Engineer or similar role for at least 5 years.
• Previous work in the SAARC region is preferred.
