Senior Field Operations Associate – Infrastructure

About the role

The Senior Field Operations Associate – Infrastructure will lead and coordinate field implementation of infrastructure projects for the Rohingya Refugee Response in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring technical standards, and liaising with partners and government counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field implementation of infrastructure projects, providing regular status updates.
• Supervise, train and guide staff, conduct field visits, and monitor construction quality against specifications.
• Review vendor competencies, track progress, manage measurements and payments, and resolve routine construction issues.
• Participate in tender evaluation, assess bidders, and compare quoted rates with IOM cost estimates.
• Liaise with government counterparts, implementing partners, contractors and other stakeholders to follow up on agreed actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field with at least five years relevant experience, or high school diploma with seven years experience.
• Proven experience managing medium to large‑scale civil infrastructure projects, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
• Experience with local construction materials, community‑based works, and cash‑for‑work modalities is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in QGIS (advantage).
