Assistant Engineer - Electrical

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Engineer – Electrical to support the design, execution and maintenance of on‑grid, off‑grid and hybrid solar projects across Bangladesh.

Key responsibilities

• Design and size solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for rooftop, ground‑mounted and irrigation projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with standards.
• Prepare detailed single line diagrams (SLD) and perform accurate cable sizing calculations for all system components.
• Coordinate with local authorities for permits, manage quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes, and supervise on‑site execution activities.
• Develop comprehensive bills of quantities (BOQ), handle tender preparation, manage billing procedures, and oversee operations & maintenance (O&M) post‑installation.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PV​syst software for solar system simulation and performance analysis.
• Ability to create and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for electrical layouts.
• Expertise in system sizing calculations and cable dimensioning.
• Experience with QA/QC protocols and authority coordination for project approvals.
• Competence in preparing BOQ, managing tender processes, billing, and O&M activities.
