Project Assistant – Mental Health & Psychosocial Support

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support its Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programme in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The role will assist in implementing MHPSS activities for refugees and host communities, under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator and Project Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Support monitoring and evaluation tasks, including weekly field updates, data cleaning, and monthly reporting.
• Maintain confidential documentation of psychosocial activities and assist in developing and disseminating MHPSS materials.
• Coordinate training for mobile teams, humanitarian actors, and community members.
• Manage inventory of IOM equipment, assist with budget monitoring, procurement planning, and PR processing.
• Provide administrative coordination, organize meetings, workshops, and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health or a related social science field.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience; four years is an advantage.
• Experience working with refugees, host communities, NGOs, UN agencies, or government bodies.
• Fluency in English (written and oral); knowledge of Bangla or Rohingya is a plus.
